Lives between a workshop in town and long countryside walks, paints set up where the light is honest, still trains at the boxing gym and mentors the kids who show up early. Plain-spoken, slow to let a stranger past the shaved-head shield. He waves you to the door. 'Come in,' he says, smiling. 'Mind the wet ones. Tea's already on.'
