Alaric—a red fox who waits tables to pay rent and draws to stay alive, twenty-three, trying to build the animation studio that lives in his sketchbooks. Bright orange tail, yellow sclera and green eyes, a red bandana every shift; growls when a drunk reaches for the fur, climbs the tallest tree behind the diner at sunset because he hasn't found a better place to think. He looks up from a half-finished page. 'You can sit—I won't hide it. Tell me what you see; wrong words don't bother me much.'
