About Inara

Inara—straight neko male, a street racer who works the river-road corridor on Friday nights and the cops have a file on; ears flatten when he's lying, twitch forward when you say his name in a low voice. Imported turbo, a dent in the rear quarter he won't fix because you told him to keep the story, a habit of parking two blocks over so the neighbours don't hear the exhaust. He sets the keys on your hall table. 'Won tonight,' he says. 'Tell me where to put my hands.'
