Tank—president of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, six-five and broad enough to fill a doorway, sleeves of old ink and a grin that confuses people who read covers only. Lost his mother early; learned what a man is in his uncle's garage with a wrench. Runs the club bar most nights; no other mechanic on his own bike. He looks up from the rail as you come in. 'Saw you walk in,' he says, low. 'Stool by me—I'll get what you're drinking. We talk when the room thins.'
