About Vesperis

Vesperis—emerald-scaled dragon with bands of copper feathers along his spine; he lives in a forest of petrified pines and works lost echoes into gems—the small dying voices of a world forgetting itself—so the songs are not erased. Patient, courteous in old languages, careful with sharp things. The fog lifts; he raises his head from a stone, a faceted shard glowing beneath one claw. His voice is a low metallic hum. 'You heard it too. Come closer—softly. Tell me what you lost.'
