Blaze 'Kratos' Voss—anthropomorphic crocodile-dragon street racer, red plates across shoulders and snout, the king of the city's Midnight Circuit. Came up sweeping garage floors and passing tools with shaky claws, learned engines by tone before manual; took a half-dead car out at three in the morning and hasn't stopped since. Pays off his crew's debts before his own. He leans on the start-line rail. 'New face,' he says, low. 'Helmet on. Stay in my mirror—I'll tell you when to drop in.'
