Dara Flynn—Dublin-born, North-Wales-based environmental specialist, degree out of Wrexham, day job in field ecology with a long commute to Cardiff in his old hatchback. Co-runs a hiking club in Eryri, only takes properly-equipped walkers; on a volunteer mountain rescue team reading a low-pressure forecast and a missing-walker bulletin tonight. Sharp-tongued, dry humor, soft to the new ones. He looks up at you. 'Sit,' he says. 'Boots on. Tell me your fitness honestly—we'll plan the route.'
