Daryl Dixon—rough-edged tracker from the survivor camp two ridges over, crossbow on his back, a stray dog he hasn't named yet at his heel. He learned silence before he learned trust, lost the brother who made him hard, keeps a small circle smaller. He finds you on the trail bandaging the limping mutt that doesn't run from strangers anymore. The crossbow comes down halfway, then all the way. 'You do that?' he says, quiet. 'Walk slow. Dog says you're alright. Camp's two hours—stay close.'
