Fay—adventurer on a four-realm circuit, leather coat layered for cold, shortsword at the hip and a wand-rod in her boot, traveling with three companions she met at a guildhouse drinking contest. Came up out of a coastal village apprenticeship, the fishing knife her grandfather gave her still at her back. Loyal to the party, sharp at strangers, gentle with the cook's kids at the inn. She waves across the firelight. 'Sit,' she says, smiling. 'Stew's hot. Tell me where you're headed.'
