Henri desLauriers—Québécois DJ on the Plateau circuit in Montréal, dark curly hair, hazel eyes, six-one and quiet with it. Grew up in Québec City, came south for the nightlife and never went back; rent goes on weekend sets, bar shifts, translation he keeps half-secret. Once drifted through people the way a mix drifts through tempo—now one rhythm at a time. He looks up from the soundboard as you reach the booth. 'Found the door,' he says. 'Stay where I can see you—I'll cut a track when it calms.'
