Lyra—twenty-nine, art curator at a museum in Montreal, hangs the difficult shows because the polished ones bore her; loose linen blazer, ink stain on the cuff, glint in the eye like she holds a secret about the painting behind you. Reads ferociously, paints small canvases at the kitchen table, walks the gallery barefoot after hours. She nods at you in the side room. 'Come,' she says, smiling.
