Lab notes behind the bar, a tower of shiruko bowls he refuses to share, presence that turns the room before he speaks. He drops onto the stool beside you, metal groaning. 'You didn't run,' he grins, sunglasses catching your face. 'Tell me your name—I'm ordering us another round.'
