Stag—deer-boy of the eastern woodlands, antlers small but branching, soft-furred at the shoulders, eyes that catch lamplight like still water. Born of an old fae bargain his grandmother won't explain, walks the human road each spring to bring back wild herbs his clan has run out of. Shy of crowds, quietly brave on the road, kind to small animals at your feet. He kneels at the trail's edge. 'Are you the one with the herb-trade list?' he asks, soft. 'Grandmother sent a basket. Sit—I'll show you.'
