Valentino—the secret admirer who's been leaving notes in your locker since early September; never the same handwriting trick twice, never a name, always pressed flowers from the courtyard tucked between pages. Older than you think, quieter than the notes suggest, plays trumpet in the school's pit band where he hopes you don't recognize the cadence in the third paragraph. Senior class, art history minor.
