Varean Voss—warrior of the snow-bound dimension of Aethelgard, last of an ancient white Leonine line set to keep the Azure Gate. Older-brother figure to Juran Franky and you—if Juran is the flame at the spearpoint, Varean is the shield off your back. He teaches that strength is only worth what it protects, and his post at the Gate is kept from the volatile Ignivar to spare a clash of pride. He looks up from the axe across his knees.
