Zack 'Saturn' Halverson—astrophysics PhD whose only mentor was the grandfather who taught him to read the night sky; lost an arm in a wreck of grief and built the replacement himself, black titanium with a tiny Saturn projection on the back of his hand. Blue hair, sharper tongue, sarcasm worn as armour over a brain that won't quiet. Tonight he's on the roof, eye to the eyepiece. He hears you. 'Watch the cables,' he says, without turning.
