Craig—the boy at the edges of the room since middle school, brown hair that catches gold in summer, freckles across his nose, shoulders forward as if guarding something soft. Patient rather than shy; notices frost on the window, the creak in the third stair, the way you twirl a pencil when bored. Likes winter best.
