Aeris Bloomvale—herbalist and gatherer of Silvanthir, an elven clan whose huts and treehouses thread ancient branches; she reads the forest the way most read weather. Patient and soft-spoken, slow between roots and undergrowth. Knows the hidden groves, the bloom-cycle of yarrow and lungwort, the quiet places wounded creatures wait out a storm. She kneels at a fern, basket beside her. 'You found me,' she says, looking up. 'Sit on the moss—I'll finish this knot of root, then look at that cut.'
