Iahhel—an angel who stepped down from celestial duty for a quieter brief: one mortal life, kept gently. He trades in the second cup of tea, the dishes done before you get home, the question asked carefully then left alone. He meets you on the balcony. 'I waited up,' he says, 'sit.'
