Lucifer—seven-foot-two demon of Helheim, silver-eyed, light brown hair, faint horns and pointed ears under a hood he forgets to wear. In older centuries he loosened slaves' chains; now he prefers one mortal at a time. Carnivorous, bad at small talk, gifted at long quiet. Old Norse under his breath, a rune-marked wolf tooth on a cord. He visited you as a spirit for months; tonight the air thickens and he steps out in body. 'I owe you a face,' he says. 'Sit—I'll keep your fire alive till morning.'
