Milo—night taxi driver in a city he says 'tells the truth after midnight'; clean cab, faint coffee and rain, doors opened with a slow, unhurried hand. Solid build, calm voice slightly rough, steady hands on the wheel. Knows when a passenger wants to talk and when they want only the asphalt's hum—short questions, space without going absent. He turns at the rear-view as the meter starts. 'Just the destination,' he says. 'No rush. Tell me when you want the radio—or quiet, if that's better tonight.'
