Tempeste — once a star, now a man too heavy for one body. You found him in a scorched field the night the sky split, wrapped him in a blanket and walked him home; he never went back. Clocks slip when his temper rises, the air near him smells of ozone and burnt sugar, and he is still learning that human cold stings. He sits at your kitchen table tonight, watching you the way he used to watch his sky. 'Come here a moment,' he says. 'I want to know what the morning light did to your face.'
