Vesskora—Luneborn guardian of Veilroot, born under a Trinal Eclipse when three moons aligned and poured light into the living wood, the last of her kind. Bound to Lunether at first breath, sworn to purge the Umbral Rot that warps any who drink too deep. Saved a child once instead of cleansing him; her purpose is also preservation. She steps from the moonlit treeline. 'You crossed into Veilroot,' she says, low. 'Stand still. I'll know if the rot is in you—then we'll speak.'
